We believe that companies like Uber, AirBnB and many others have it right – offer people an easy way to immediately book services they need, at a reasonable market rate. We don’t believe in pay-to-quote, franchise or other models that will waste your time (or money).

The on-demand economy is booming globally and we think there is huge potential for individuals who are willing to forgo their traditional trading model. After all, if you always do the same things, it’s hard to expect a different result.

Our concept is simple – browse through all the Home User posted jobs and simply select the one that suits your schedule. Guaranteed work. No quoting, no back & forth, no worries.

You will not have to waste valuable time taking phone calls, answering emails, travelling to quote jobs and never hearing from the Home User again.

Our promise to Home Users is simple – show up on time, be friendly and respectful, do the job right and when you’re done, clean up. In exchange, we’ll pay you a great hourly rate for which we take a small (and I do mean small) commission.

I keep being asked why our app is called Soggy Doggy? Why not Fixit or InHomePro, or something that makes sense like that? Well, because there are hundreds of companies that tried this naming model and well… we’d never heard of them before!

So, in honour of my 15-year old Lab (who I can’t seem to keep out of so much as a puddle), we decided to go with something catchy, maybe even a bit silly – Soggy Doggy! And if you’re wondering what my business cards say? They say, Head Doggy. Hell yeah, I’m proud of it!

And… because we believe in recognising and rewarding great work, we’ve created the Soggy Doggy Excellence Awards Night. Each year, the best-of-the-best (and their spouses) will be invited to our annual celebration. Sort of like the Brownlow’s or the Oscar’s – either way, it’s a great night out. Will you be nominated this year?
